The Electromagnetic spectrum is the range of all possible frequencies of Electromagnetic radiation and is sorted by frequency.

The electromagnetic spectrum extends from low frequency, non-ionizing radiation sources such as electrical power related EMF, through the Radio Frequency / Microwave Spectrum, though the various forms of light up to ionizing radiation sources such as x-rays and gamma radiation.

The frequency of electromagnetic radiation is inversely proportional to the size its wave, so a lower frequency source would have the largest wavelength. Wavelength can range from thousands of miles down to a fraction of the size of an atom.

The behavior of Electromagnetic Radiation depends on its wavelength and also on the amount of energy it carries. It is important to know this information when selecting effective EMF Shielding materials and implementing suitable EMF Mitigation techniques.
